About this tool

These are static QR codes: the data is stored in the pattern itself, so they never expire, need no account, and cannot be tracked or switched off by a third party. That is different from many “free” generators, whose dynamic codes redirect through their servers and stop working when a trial ends.

Codes are generated with the MIT-licensed qrcode library. Use SVG for print, since it stays sharp at any size, and PNG for screens. Adding a logo automatically switches to the highest error correction (H, which can lose about 30% of the code), so the code still scans with the center covered. Keep logos small and always test with your phone.

Wi-Fi codes use the standard WIFI:T:WPA;S:name;P:password;; format, which iPhone and Android cameras read natively. Your password stays in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static, so the content is encoded directly and works forever. There is no redirect server to shut down.

PNG or SVG: which should I download?

SVG for print and design tools, since it is a vector and scales without blur. PNG (up to 2000 px) for websites, slides and documents.

How do I make a Wi-Fi QR code?

Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name (SSID) exactly as it appears, the password and the security type (usually WPA/WPA2/WPA3). Guests scan it with their camera to join.

Why won’t my QR code scan?

Make sure the foreground is darker than the background and keep enough contrast. Leave the quiet-zone margin, keep logos under about 20% of the width, and print it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide.

Can I use the codes commercially?

Yes. Codes you generate are yours to use anywhere, with no attribution needed.
